Asphalt & Architectural Shingles
The most widely used residential roofing material in North America for good reason — affordable, durable, available in dozens of colors, and well-suited to Bay Area conditions.
- 3-tab shingles: cost-effective, 25-year rated
- Architectural/dimensional: richer appearance, 30-year rated, better wind resistance
- Impact-resistant: Class 4 rated, often qualifies for insurance discounts
- Designer shingles: mimic the look of slate or wood shake at a fraction of the cost
Clay & Concrete Tile
Iconic in California architecture, tile roofing offers a 50+ year lifespan and exceptional fire resistance. It requires proper structural support — we assess load capacity before recommending tile on any existing structure.
- Spanish/Mission (S-profile) and Flat profile available
- Clay tile: premium product, lightest weight tile, beautiful aged patina
- Concrete tile: more affordable, heavier, excellent durability
Metal Roofing
Standing-seam metal is the fastest-growing roofing category for good reason: 40–70 year lifespan, virtually zero maintenance, and significant energy savings from its reflective surface.
- Standing-seam panels: concealed fasteners, excellent weather resistance
- Metal shingles: mimic shingle or tile appearance with metal’s durability
- Corrugated/exposed-fastener: agricultural and commercial applications
- Finishes: Kynar 500 paint systems with 40-year fade warranties
Flat & Low-Slope Systems
Flat roofs require specialized waterproofing membranes — standard shingles don’t work at low slopes. We install the three dominant commercial flat roof systems:
- TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin): Energy-Star rated reflective membrane, heat-welded seams, excellent for commercial roofs
- EPDM (Rubber): Industry standard for residential flat roofs, highly flexible, 20–25 year lifespan
- Modified Bitumen: Multi-layer system ideal for high-traffic roofs and rooftop decks
